This machine keeps your knives sharp with just a few swipes. I leave it on the counter and use it daily. I am a firm believer dull knives are dangerous. I buy the best quality knives,and take good care of them. Traditional sharpeners leave burrs on your knives which tears rather than cuts. Ceramic sharpeners cause no degradation to your knives at the same time keeping them sharp.
